QuoteReplyTopic: Cat scratch scar. Help. Posted: June 04 2005 at 1:49am
Hello Ladies,
Ok, here's the thing: About three years back, my Aunt's cat
attacked me from behind. The cat managed to scratch my right cheek,
right in the center. So, the scar basically starts an inch from the
corner of my lips and extends parallel towards my ear. It's not a deep
scar, but just enough to leave a mark.
Not long after I got the scar, I tried Mederma on it. The Mederma made me itch, so I stopped using it.
Anyway...I was just wondering if there are any other options as to what
I can do to reduce the appearance of or simply get rid of it?
Any help or information would be greatly appreciated.
Much Love,
Jessica

At this point, there's probably not anything you can do to change the scar significantly. Most healing happens in the first week after an injury, so by the time you realize there's a problem, it's probably too late.
Why don't you see a dermatologist? Dermabrasion may help the scar.
Just looking for a few good hair slaves - is that too much to ask?
have u tried EMU oil?? You can purchase it at almost any nutrition or natural health store. It is suppossed to be an excellent remedy for old and new scars b/c it can be absorbed by the skin. HTH
