I got all my hair chopped off into a bob from midback length and am missing longness :P

I haven't, but I've used it for pre-tipping. I'm certain it wouldn't last very long- latex glue isn't that strong, and you'd get a ton of shedding, sinc latex-glue tips don't even stay together.

I had some marginal results with a couple of test strands of LG.

Others reported they had similar to worse experiences so I gave up on that.

you can always do rings/PBs and avoid heat that way...  And rings are easy to do on yourself.  no danger of burning yourself while feeling around.

Kate - i tried it once (years ago) I used proclaim and it all fell out at first wash.  You can however use it with better success for gluing on wefts

I tried it on a couple of strands around my face with liquid gold when I had wefts glued in.  It lasted about two weeks but was really gummy towards the end of that time with a lot of shredding.  Plus it was really hard to get out.
