Somebody please help!!!

Used a boxed bleaching kit and my light brown hair has now turned into a bright yellow with shades of orange. Followed instructions and did strand test. Something went wrong somewhere. Would like to darken my hair now, dark blonde/ light brown. I am not sure how to do this, don't want hair to turn blue or green either.

don't worry you could go both lighter or darker. I'd suggest going to a beauty supply and get pro products instead of using otc products.

If you want to go lighter you'll need:

wella wellite creamlite bleach

20 volume developer

mix it according to instructions, I'd suggest replacing half of the amount of developer with shampoo instead or more since your hair is so light already, because if the bleach processes to fast then you may end up with brekage. bleach only to pale yellow, not to white. Then you'll need a toner to get rid of yellowness and to get the tone you desire.

If you want to go darker you'll need

Wella colorcharm dye shade 711* Medium blonde (it's neutral base so there's no risk of your hair turning blue or greenish)
Medium Blonde use with 20 volume developer, just follow the instructions.

Hey thanks for reply, going to try to go darker will take your advice. Was wondering though, if I wanted to go even darker than a med. blonde, more of a brown would have any suggestions? Blonde just doesn't seem to be working for me.

Thank you so much Swede, I took your advice and went to a med. blonde, came out perfect, no blue or green. Most importantly, I don't look like rainbow bright anymore. You saved my weekend!!!

I'm glad to hear that it turned out great!

I forgot to mention, that it's essential that you pick a dye/toner that's two levels lighter than your target level, because bleached hair absorbs much more color than virgin hair (I've learned this the hard way :P) so therefore I recommended a medium blonde dye.

HI. I have died my hair red numerous times. Before that it was bleached blonde. What do you suggest SWEDE? I want to go back to blonde. Right now my hair hasnt been dyed in about two months and it has faded to a brownish and you can see some blonde streaks thru it.

I'm not Swede  (lol) but u could probably get away w/ using colorfix color remover and then prob use bleach to touch-up the roots. And maybe a blonde color one or two levels lighter over the rest of the hair after to refresh the blonde, i'd suggest a semi.
