this product is kinda cool for people like me who would like to change
their hair almost daily. it is this revolving brush thing that picks up
color out of the s little pots, and deposits it on the hair. this is
totally a temporary color, and it washes out with shampoo. (the
directions say two applications of clarifying shampoo, but it came
right off with one application of regular shampoo for me.) some of the
colors look totally natural, while others look totally fake. it all
depends on your mood.
go to here to check it out.

e-katherine,
my hair is pretty light to begin with, so i dont know how it would work
on dark hair. the kit does contain some metallic colors, so i think
those would work well over the darker colors (after all, metallic
colors over black.) i got mine at kauffmans in the personal care
section. it costs 24.99, and i think its well worth it
and as far as highlighting with bleach, i suppose it would wrork, if
you really wanted it too. i like it cuz i can change my look with no
damage to my hair.

i dont have long hair, maybe 4 or 5 inches. but, kuroneko, it looks as
if your hair may be too short. my hair just barely fits into the slot
that the hiar goes through. i like it alot. ive used it two days in a
row now, and i think it works really well. ive used the blue color
(kind of a fun change) the non-metallic red, and the "natural" brown.
they wash out easily with one application of a low-sudsing moisture
shampoo. the more natural colors( they have two shades of brown, 3
shades of blond, some auburn colors, and an almost black) seem to go on
less "gunky". the metallic and blue (i guess in need to deposit more
bold colors) can feel gunky until the color dries.

If your hair is short, does it just tip the hair when you use the machine, or does it actually streak? My hair is probably close to the same length at the moment, I think. . .

there is about a half an inch of hair tat is left oncolored. this is
usually not a problem for me, as i usually just do low-lights on the
under layers. when i do the area around my part, i have to touch up the
roots with the eyebrow brush included in the kit. the instructions say
this is normal, and to expect to have to touch up any length hair.
