I dyed my dark blonde/light brown hair with Clairol Nice 'n Easy Natural Dark Brown.  I wanted it dark, but it came out too dark - like Ashlee Simpson's former haircolor, which is too much for my lighter complexion.  I am probably going to my salon tomorrow to have them tone it down.

If I wash my hair several times today/tomorrow with a clarifying shampoo, will the color fade?  Or would it be better to go straight to the salon?

Thanks much for any help!!!

Carrie

Nice'N'Easy is permanent, so it probably won't fade at all in the next few days. You might as well go to a salon first.

Just looking for a few good hair slaves - is that too much to ask?

I mistakenly had my blonde hair coloured very dark last year and it took about a month for it to fade to a nice light brown colour, and I was using a blonding shampoo on it.

You should be able to get highlights on it at the salon to lift the colour a bit.

My sister made the same misstake and used clariols brown color, it turned out almost black. Sorry to say it didn't fade. If you really hate it, get it fixed, i dont recon it will fade enough for you to fell happy in it..
