Hello ladies. I am new to this forum and have decided to order some RK hair. I understand that RK hair color is quite diff. than the Beauty Supply Store hair i am used to. Could someone give me a quick run down of Rk's colors versus BSS.

Rk1b= ?in BSS

Rk2=?in BSS

Rk4=? in BSS

Rk5= ?in BSS

 Rk 6= ? in BSS

Rk 8= ? in BSS

Rk 12= ? in BSS

Rk 22= ? in BSS

Rk 24= ? in BSS

Rk 27= ? in BSS

Thanks all.

*Edited for spelling.

someone posted a color ring

lets see if I can find it..

I will tell you I am usually a 4-6 blend and I ordered the 4, 5, 6, and 8 and all were way too light so  I am going to try the two which seems to be comparible to a 4 in other hair but every company is different

and 1b is black

All I have experience is is #2. It is very close to a BSS #4. A lighter #4 with more reds. I have had some BSS #4 with very little red. This one definitely has some red tones.

Okay, I just got my color ring...

RK 1B= BSS 2

RK 2= BSS 4

RK 3 and 4= BSS 5 and 6

RK 5 and 6= BSS 7 and 8 with red and gold tones

RK 7= I don't know. It's a dark medium brown that's completely ash, which is kind of wierd.

RK 8= Pretty much like BSS 8, only mostly ash.

I'm not very familiar with BSS 12 through 20, so it's hard to say equivalencies- but 12 is a nice dark glden blonde with some red, 14 is a medium golden blonde, and 18 is a teeny bit darker and ashier.

As for light blondes, the lightest and palest is 613, followed by 22 and then 24. 24 is the same yellow-blond it is on most systems, only not quite as yellow.

27 is a nice reddish blond- not the hideous brassy BSS 27- and 29 is a touch darker, like a blond-auburn.

28 is a flaming natural red, with 30 being a touch darker and 31 being a touch less intense. 32 is a bright scarlet which borders on unnaturally bright- but it's an awesome color if you don't care about natural, or it could be used as highlights.

33 is pretty close to BSS 33, 33B is closest to BSS 35, and RK 35 is a deep, delicious, purply black-cherry sort of natural red.

Oh yeah, and "BUG" is apparently short for Burgundy. An unfortunate choice of abbreviations. :) It's a great color, though- it's not a common neon red, but it's lighter than the burgundy you usually see, with a blue undertone.

Yeah it's hard to say

medium brown with red #2 blending with #4

and like rae said if you need ash brown, #7

I think either way you will have to do some blending - they don't tend to have just a medium brown and the colors very with packages
