I have been growing my hair out of a pixie cut since last spring, and it is now about 1 1/2 inches from my shoulders. My problem is that even though I just had a haircut 2 1/2 weeks ago my ends always flip up and look somewhat frayed unless I blow-dry my hair and go through all that styling stuff. I air-dryed it today and my ends all flipped up and looked dried. Should I get more cut maybe 1/4 of an inch?
Does anyone else have this problem? My husband calls it "the flying nun look".

Thanks
Susannah

My hair always gets kinda out of control when I don`t blow dry it and curl it. Some peoples hair just won`t dry straight... or curled under. I wouldn`t recommend cutting 1/4 off unless the ends are dead... but since you already got it trimmed.. sounds like they probably aren`t dead ends. Sounds like maybe your ends need a little moisturizer to them.

That sounds like good advice, Amber.

Hi!

I don`t know how long you want to grow your hair out to. But it sounds like you are at that akward stage, where people get frustrated with their hair and cut it again.

If you are planning on growing your hair long, you will have to figure out some ways to get thru the akward stage, like using clips, headbands and such.

Sometimes when I was frustrated with my growing-out hair, I just put it in a french braid or a bun and tried to forget about it.
