Well anyone knows that with curly or wavy hair you can't really make your hair perfect unless you cut it really short. By perfect i mean every strand in the right place such as spiky hair. I have wavy hair and as its gotten longer it gets less organized due to its lack of straightness. I know that i can never understand if its too disorganized, or if the messyness looks right. So i was wondering if anyone else with wavy hair ever has the problem of not knowing if its too messy or not. I would love the opinion of how girls view wavy/curly hair and if it's a negative or a plus. Do some guys keep their wavy/curly hair too messy? or is it never a problem? I personally try to tame mine but then it looks funny as the ends are never straight but the top is. I know some actors can pull it off really well like adam brody, but then again he has a personal stylist i'm sure. Well thanks in advance.
IMHO as long as the curly hair is healthy and long enough for at least one complete curl, WOW! I went on a date with a curlyhaired guy, and his ringlets were just so gorgeous. Couldn't stop looking at him.
Im a guy, but i know some girls like curly hair and some don't. Don't cut your hair just to please the ones that don't ! I have 7.5 inch loose-curly hair and trying to grow it to its limits. using the right conditioner will help make your hair not look messy and only use your fingers ! oh, and i live in LA county, we have soft water which makes my hair soft and clean when I shower. Whenever i take a shower at orange county at my relatives, they have hard-water, which makes my hair nasty and harder to shampoo/condition.
Well that's good to know some girls like curly hair, it just sucks because ALL girls like straight hair. I just wish i didn't have to always worry that my hair looks too messy. *sigh* i guess i'll never figure out what too messy is vs. messy but good. Thank you though

I have wavy hair and when i was growing it out it became very limp and messy, for me the answer to my problem was a perm. now i can wear it real curly or real stright.
and god said let there be hair extensions.

dryness = I love curly hair on guys. When I see guys with curly hair, I just want to run my hands all through their hair. And sometimes when I've been drinking, I will do that! I think I know what you mean by too messy vs. looks good messy. I would think too messy looks dirty. Any curl that looks clean and healthy looks good messy.
I have wavy/curly hair and I find when my hair gets to a certain length, I think it looks messy, like "needs a haircut". But I don't have an accurate view of how my hair looks good, because when I'm about to get it cut is when I get the most comments. Then I put the cut off for another two weeks.
**Hair type: 2a, which is wavy and fine.
**Color: Naturally dark brown, currently dyed reddish brown.
**Length: below shoulder length

I was at a club the other week and the DJ had this GORGEOUS curly hair.
I kept looking at his hair out of the corner of my eye. I didn't find
him attractive but I just wanted to touch his hair and I guess that
kinda made me start to find him attractive too.
I think messy wavy hair can look good on guys. It would have a sort of
alternative, laid back look that I love in guys. It all depends on your
personality and style. A guy with confidence (but not arrogance) can
pull off nearly anything.
If youre trying to get the ends as straight as the roots then maybe try
a straightening iron, but make sure you get regular trims and always
use some heat protectant product.
