QuoteReplyTopic: I need some style ideas! Posted: July 27 2005 at 1:02am
I'm a fun kinda girl and well my hair is not doing it for me, I need a
style thats hard rock, spunky and sexy and well, I can't seem to find
one that suits me. :(
Can any of you rocking girls find me a photo of a style that is in the
'blonde' category, no shorter than collar bone and layered?
I want to get my hair cut and I can't find a style that really pops out
at me, so I can show the girls at the salon so they can cut it!
My hair is straight, (blonde) and is about an inch past my shoulder
blades. I enjoy wearing it down and well it's pretty much one length
except for around the front (and there are a few spots that are broken
and about four inches long around the top of my hair, near the roots..
joys of bleach hey?) where I've taken to chopping it shorter and
angled, which you dont' really notice. I need soemthing!! or even a
really cool site taht I can browse through easily...
Thanks,
Bambi

I cut off my hair (which was down to my waist) last Sept and had this hair cut and it was SOO cute - I LOVED IT. It grows out really nice too. I loved wearing this style the way it was but you can also do a lose side pony with all the whispys free flowing :)
This cut is so much fun :)

I'm so scared, hopefully I can handle it. I've mostly always really
liked LONG hair, but mines getting shaggy and limp due to some breakage
and stuff. I've had hair almost to my ears, pixie cuts and everything
else in between... I hope it works! YAY!

Okay this is my hair newly layered. We decided to keep the length, she
just chopped off all the yucky, ends she said I had. She tried to mask
in some of the breakage, and she did a wonderful job. I am so glad she
kept the length, but now it's choppy and kinda rock. I have some height
now, I usually wear my hair flat as a pancake. :P
She also informed me the ends were turning greenish because I had a
color build up, huh, I didn't know that, and that I'm not allowed to
color my ends for a while now, but just to keep my roots. :) So all and
all it worked out. It's nothing drastic, just lotsa layers now, since I
had all around one length hair before. ROCK ON!
Hey you can get a neutral (color...it's clear) protein filler at Sally's to put on your ends when you color...it will keep it from grabbing too much color! You can also mix it with water (I forget the ratio ) and use it as a deep conditioner to help get your hair back in shape.

Those protein fillers really are wonderful.I'm glad you like it.Plus I can see the fullness your talking about.Looks like you could wear it slightly flipped out,or curled under if you want.

I would need to get a protein filler at a Beauty shop and well, here in
canada, you can not buy from a beauty shop without actually being a
licenced hairdresser.. go figure.
Yes I can curl it under or flip it out. I am not all to sure about it,
I am not very good at styling and stuff and I rarely use flat irons or
hair dryers, so I'm not getting the same height as she is, and I am so
lazy I just leave it. It looks shaggy when I dont' do anything. My
boyfriend says it looks really good and thinks I should go shorter,
like cut the length off. I dunno... anywhoo.
I wish I could get protein filler!

I don't know about Canada, but at the hair place I go to, Perfect Look,
they have their own in-stores only product line called Perfection. They
make a protein treatment so if you have that chain near you, stop by and
buy some. It's called Protein Pak Elastin Protein Treatment. I didn't know
what it was and thought it was just a conditioner the first time I used it,
and so I put it on in the shower and when it dried it turned into a big ball
of grease! Now I know how to use it, and it works pretty well...

you can do anything if you set your mindto it (just dont try this with hair, that could turn out bad)

Oh thank you brian... shagadellic is a good word for it. My girlfriend
did it really rock star for me when we went out the other night, that's
after I decided I wanted to do the underlayer (which is much longer)
black with Loreal's Color Pulse.... um.. it didn't turn black it turned
purple! It's alright though, I think it looks Rock Star like and when
she did it all smooth and shaggy for me, I looked smokin'. However it
is a wash out kinda dye so I'm glad, cause it's now a purply grey.
YAY... Hmm I'll have to figure out how to get protien filler. I dont'
want to order online.

yeah brian, the protein fillers are watery.Thats normal.Seems like it wouldnt hold to the strands, but wash over them. But it works. Not sure what makes it work but it does.
