Add body to fine hair

My hair is naturally kinky, but fine. Conditioners seem to take out what little body there is. Conditioners are promoted as making hair softer, but my hair does not need to be any softer. It needs body. Does anyone have any suggestions? Right now at night I section the hair off, put on Elasta QP curl wax oil and  a setting lotion followed by Nexus Headress and then roll it up on sponge rollers (covered with end papers to keep the rollers from taking the hair out). That gives me an OK curly fro for about a day and a half, and then it starts to go limp on me.   Would appreciate any suggestions anyone has. Thanks!
