Since this is the first time, I doubt there is permanent hair loss. It should grow back. There is really nothing you can do. Hair grows at a rate of about 1/2" per month. You can use products to make it healthier and stronger, and help heal the scalp. Saler hair loss treatment is great. Read my post on "hair comes out on come" in this same forum for more info on it.
Relax, your hair should grow back. I had a bald spot on my frontal hair line as a result of a bad thermal reconditioning treatment. It grew back. It is going to seem forever though if you stress over it. Try to accesorize your hair the best you can, and give it time. Next time don't take chances with you most important accesory. It is going to take a whole year before that hair reaches a length that will allow you to at least pull it back into a pony tail. So it is not worth it to take chances with your hair.
Good luck

TO MAKE A LONG STORY SHORT THIS WEEKEND I ENDED UP BLEACHING MY HAIR AND DYING IT A TOTAL OF 5 TIMES....... I KNOW NOT A SMART THING TO DO . NOW I HAVE PEA SIZE BALD SPOTS IN THE FRONT OF MY HAIRLINE. THEY ARE RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE AND ON THE SIDES SO THERE IS NO WAY TO CHANGE MY PART, I HAVE TO WEAR IT PULLED BACK AND YOU CAN STILL SEE THEM. DO YOU THINK IT WILL GROW BACK, AND IS THERE ANYTHING I COULD PUT ON IT TO MAKE IT GROW FASTER? I READ ABOUT THE RED PEPPER AND OIL, DOES IT REALLY WORK.
