Hello ladies,

I need some advice and encouragement.  I'm leaving for Seattle on Friday to spend a week there.  I was going to do some shrinkie highlights, but the heat wand I ordered hasn't arrived yet. 

Since I'm going to Seattle, I could visit the fabulous Boogiemama and have her do some heat seal highlights.  It's $70 for 20 streaks.  Do you think that would be sufficient?  My hair is currently somewhere between #2 and #4.  I thought maybe some auburn and dark blonde highlights would be nice (I'm being a good girl and not simply bleaching like I used to do).

Thoughts?  Suggestions?  Wacky ideas?

Okay, you've convinced me!    I've actually wanted to go for a couple years now, but couldn't really afford to before.

Boogiemama has agreed to take me without a consulation, since I'm just getting highlights.  If you look at the color charts Jenny posted here ( http://talk.hairboutique.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=29770 &KW=prohair
I'm thinking of going with #20 and #4R. Other color suggestions appreciated!  I just have to stay within the natural realm. My hair color is around #7 or #8 on the ProHair chart.

And here I was thinking I need to load my pics to my computer and get that posted, but Boogiemama beat me to it (by a lot!).  I just got home from Seattle today (unfortunately, my luggage is still on vacation somewhere courtesy of Alaska Airlines).

Anyway, I love it, and I had a great time (one of B's kitties was sitting in my lap the whole time).  I know 25 streaks is nothing for her, but I was amazed at how fast she works and how small the seals are.  I was worried about them showing, because my hair lies very flat on my head, making things like microrings very visible.  However, even when you can see them, they're so small, you don't notice.

Also, it really looks like more than 25 streaks.  Only the very dark brown hair is mine...the red and blonde are extensions.  She blended the two colors together, which looks great, and there is no way my hair would ever lighten to that lovely blonde. 

Two very enthusiastic thumbs up!
