The clippers have levels on it.  I would put it on the level bald it a little.  go more levels and fade a little.  then when the lever is all the way down I fade it.  It can work if you do it right but that is my way.

NOT ALL CLIPPERS HAVE THAT, BUT THAT IS A GOOD WAY TO LEARN HOW TO FADE/TAPER YOUR HAIR.

Yep. I have went through so many clippers of the years. I found that adjustables are the best to me. You can cut a better fade. But I have use the regular clipper. I had to loosen the screws to adjust the blade.

And also make sure you have a set of clippers for edge ups and lines.

for line-ups its better to use a trimmer/edger cause some clippers, such as the one i use, are to powerful and can cut you up. plus trimmers are lighter and you can manuver them better which you will have better results.
