I was wondering about these. I want to even out my hair color because of a
blotchy dye job.
What exactly do color depositing shampoos do and can they harm your hair?
Are they temporary?
I've already dyed my hair way too many times and I really don't want to have
to bleach it all out. I just want to even out the color.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I don' think they cause any significant damage to hair. I use John Freida
Radiant Reds and it works really well especially for red color which tends
to fade fast.
