QuoteReplyTopic: Short Hair Styles Posted: August 15 2005 at 8:50am
What styles can I do with short hair to keep from using heat in it. My hair is very short and I'm growing out my perm. I have tried braids and sew ins but they all break my hair off. My hair grows with braids but I seem to get just as much breakage as I do growth. So I was wondering if anyone knew of some no heat styles for short hair?? I'm 10 weeks post relaxer.

With braids, are you ensuring that there is plenty of moisture? I used to wear braids (before I found this forum) and while my hair grew, when I took them out I experienced a lot of breakage due to the lack of maintenance while my hair was braided (I didn't do ANYTHING except wash/condition). How short is short? Can you pull it in a ponytail?
Yeah the lack of moisture probably had a lot to do with it. A ponytail, girl please my hair is real short, like above my ears short. And you know when you have short hair you have to keep it done. I have been slicking it back and that has got to stop.

ONE WAY YOU CAN WEAR YOUR HAIR INSTEAD OF USING IRON CURLERS IS TO BUY MAGNETIC ROLLERS..WHEN YOU TAKE THESE OUT IT LOOKS AS IF YOU CURLED YOUR HAIR...SO TRY IT AND SEE HOW IT WORKS..
