See through blonde hair?

Well, it's been over 2 months since my perming disaster.

For those of you who dont know, I got a perm, and all it did was strip my colour out of my hair.. making it a really yellow, and almost translucent colour.. no wave, no nothing.

So after treating my hair to many trims and tons of jojoba, i want to fix the colour. .. however, I don't know if this is a good idea. It looks really translucent. I want it to be a golden blonde, but still light. Will putting a light blonde colour on myhair make it look more solid.. and less translucent?
