...for relaxers? Which is more damaging? Someone was telling me that there's stuff in the No-Lye relaxers that are just as damaging as the lye relaxers. Alot of companies are coming out with this, but does it make a difference?

I have heard this too,,, but i use a no lye childrens
relaxer and myhair is almost like virgin hair,, i dont
leave it in long,, only long enough to loosen the curl
but no stick straight stuff,, i find that this has been
working for me for over a year now since i started
relaxing my own hair and id be terrifified to use lye
Hair type: 3b some c?, fine strands, last relaxer sept 05, never again!!! current :ap length on sides,,nearly bsl in back, damn those old frazzled ends! I am hair OBSESSED

The problem with no lye is that is dries out your hair and causes breakage.  It sounds funny but Lye (Soduim Hydroxcide) is a natural product and no lye are man made.  The general rule is:

No lye better on the scalp, lye is better for the hair.

Here is the result of a lye and no lye relaxer on hair.  Note that each person is different and your hair care habits can also play a part:
