I had blonde highlights put in my naturally very dark brown hair several months ago.  Needless to say my roots had grown in and I wasn't liking the very light shade of the highlights.  I went to the salon today to get my hair dyed essentially brown again so that the highlights would be less drastic.  I knew the brown wouldn't hold against my natural hair color very well but I wanted those highlights darker....

The idiot colorist BLEACHED my hair.  Instead of taking the highlights out by coloring darker, he must have thought I wanted them matched!... With my dark hair, the color turned out ORANGE and it contrasts HORRIBLY with my dark eyebrows and dark skin.. I look terrible.   I went to walgreens and bought l'oreal almost black color but the box says not to color within 14 days of bleaching, perm or straightening.... I thought when I had it highlighted that the guy bleached the highlights and then put some color on them... So am I really supposed to live with this ORANGE head for 2 weeks?

HELP

my best advice I can give you is to go back to the salon where you had the service done and tell them you are disappointed and would like it fixed as it wasn't the color you asked for. Maybe then can tone it down until your hair is ready for another color service. Express your 100% DISSATISFACATION with the salon and tell them you would like it fixed.

Don't color it yourself you are only going to make things worse.

claude's got his stuff down. dont color over it yourself. your only setting yourself up for a disaster. go back to the salon and express your dissatisfaction, and your dissapointment that the stylist didnt follow your directions.
learn to love what you were born with
you can do anything if you set your mindto it (just dont try this with hair, that could turn out bad)
