i have very dark brown hair that i have just weaved with some highlights.  its been a week and already the 'ashy' colored highlights are turning brassy!  I have a lot of orange undertone to my hair.  Anyone know of anything that really works to get the brassyness out?  I dont want to darken it, just remove the orange tones from the hightlighted areas.

Thanks!

Since blue is across from orange in the hair color wheel, try using a blue-
based or "indigo" toner to counter the orange. I don't know where you
can buy toner... but you can also ask for it at the salon if you don't mind
paying.

Thanks for the info.  I think i'll try asking the salon.

Ive also seen shampoo and conditioners that are violet based that claim they counter brassiness.  I've never tried them though.
