  I am new here and I noticed while reading stuff that people mention hair lengths such as bra strap, classic etc. 

  What are the official terms for each length?

some "shorter" lengths that have definitions not requiring an explanation: chin length, ear length, collarbone length, shoulder length.

Bra Strap length (aka BSL, or mid-back) is, strangely enough, at a lady's bra strap.

Waist length is when your hair is at the skinniest part of your abdomen. It's not necessarily at waistBAND, but higher.

Hip length is at your pelvic bone.

Tailbone length is where the crack of your bum starts.

Classic length is the bottom of your bum, where your thighs begin.

Golden Ratio is about mid-thigh, and it's called Golden Ratio because it's about 61.8% of your body height.

knee length

ankle length

you length

etc.

Hi I am  at 1/3 down my back and yes I think it is growing again yeah.I am at 24 and 1/4 "so that is good.
I am aiming to get at least 3/4 down the back then I will go from there, probably much more.  Long is the best keep going everyone.

The coccyx is actually about 1-1/2 to 2" below the top of the butt crack.


Just looking for a few good hair slaves - is that too much to ask?

My hair used to be waist length but I had to get it cut of due to condition. Its now at that awkward stage between sholder length and BSL and it doesn't seem to be growing!!!

I want it back to just below BSL. I had it like that a few weeks ago but went for a trim and the idiot hairdresser thought that meant 2.5 inches!!!

I'm so sad, it's going to take ages to grow!!!!

My hair's elbow or possible waist length, not quite sure lol. Needs trimming but I'm too scared to go to the hair dressers...
