Hey guys. I'm new to the forums. I didn't know if this was any cause for concern, but since it hit summer this summer, I've noticed a big change in my hair. It is no longer as thick as it once once, has thinned considerably, and I shed hair constantly especially in school.

I am so scared. I went to my local physician, who said he didn't think anything was wrong.

I thought hair loss only occurs in clumps, not thin strands like mine is doing. My hair DOES NOT feel normal like it was, and it feels like it has less volume. I used to dye it be recently stopped. I use natural organic shampoos with orange extract in them, and a gentle conditioner. I am not harsh on my hair, and rarely style it. I never blow dry it.

I am too young! People around me say they don't notice a difference, but I definately do. Will this stop?

Whether your hair loss will stop depends on the reason for it.  Hereditary hair loss, there's not much you can do about.  You could try Rogaine or something, but even if it works, it's not that dramatic a difference (more useful for keeping the hair you have than growing new hair).  If your hair loss is due to stress or diet, it might stop once you fix whatever you're doing wrong.  If it's caused by sickness, it may or may not come back, just depends on what sickness is causing it and whether it can be successfully treated.  If your doctor has checked your thyroid and things like that, maybe try a dermatologist next?  They should be able to do a scalp biopsy, which might be able to find out the problem.

More awesome than a manatee!
