My hair grows incredibly slow and seems to always be at that awful shoulder-length stage where it doesn`t want to do anything. Is there anyway to get it to grow faster without costing a lot? Thanks.

Hi, I know what you mean, only mine was a really bad cut that I figured it out. My hair used to be to my knees (I had never cut it) and my friend was always telling me to cut it and I kept telling her no! One day on my way to school she was sitting behind me on the school bus and she put gum all over my hair. So now it is shoulder length and I has been for a very long time. I would like some advice. Thanks, Sarah =-(

This "friend" kept telling you to cut your hair even though you said you didn`t want to, and then she put gum in it. I think it`s time to lose this so-called friend and make some real friends who support your choices! So anyway, what kind of advice do you need?

Dave`s absolutely right (as he often is!), Sarah.

I`m really sorry to hear that you`ve had this experience, and that you were unable to get the gum out without loosing all your length. That must have been awful for you. Supportive friends would be a lot of help - maybe online ones too... here, at TLHS or longhairlovers.com maybe?

Best wishes for successful regrowth!

Hi Sarah,

Oh, I`m so sorry about the gum! I know I am way too late, and hopefully this will never happen again (!!), but there is one thing that will get gum out so you don`t have to cut it out -- CitraSolve. Honestly, this stuff is a miracle. Skid marks on floors? No problem. That awful, sticky residue from leftover pricetags that you tried to peel off? A breeze! I`ve used it on my children`s hair a couple of times, and it really does take the gum out. It leaves the hair super oily afterwards, but that`s what shampoo is for! And it`s just a super concentrated citrus cleaner, so there are no harsh chemicals in it (though you should be very careful in using it because it`s very harsh on hands and some surfaces, like plastic)

Here the website for it, and it also tells where you can buy it:
