I relaxed my daughters hair with Motions Lye, and the root of her hair is straight but in the middle half way down it is frizzy and puffy. can i re-relaxed her hair only on the puffy part? how long should i wait? is there anything i can do to get it straight besides flat ironing it?

The motion relaxer can also be the culprit, from what i have read from lhcf some say that this relaxer leave your hair underprocess. plus i use it and persons always ask me if i am going natural. so i switch to creme of nature. maybe you would consider this.

IS THAT CREAM OF NATURE LYE OR NO-LYE. THE GOOD THING ABOUT IT IS THAT HER IS NOT BREAKING. I'LL TRY RELAXING IT AGAIN IN 4 WEEK. HOPEFULLY SHE WILL HAVE ENOUGH NEW GROWTH AND I CAN PULL THE RELAXER THROUGH TO THE MIDDLE
Creme of Nature is no lye. I have used lye and no lye relaxers. I switched to CON no lye at the recomendation of my current hairdresser. I do not know why she prefers it over the others?? I like it. My hair gets very straight and there is no burning or minimal burning (tingling). As with any relaxer, you still need to use caution / care (base the scalp, etc) since it is a chemical process & nothing is foolproof.
I USED THE CREME OF NATURE RIGHT AFTER I TOOK MY BRAIDS OUT AND I WAS SURPRISE THAT I RECIEVE NO BURNING AND I WAS USING THE SUPER, AS MY HAIR IS VERY COARSE AND HARD TO PROCESS. WHEN I WAS USING MOTION PERSONS ALWAYS WERE SAYING I AM GOING NATURAL AT MY WORK, BUT WITH THE CREME OF NATURE PERSON ACTUALLY CAME TO ME AND SAID THAT I FINALLY CREME MY HAIR. PLUS I DID RESEARCH ON OTHER HAIR FORUM AND THEY SEEM TO LIKE CREME OF NATURE TOO ALONG WITH PROFECTIV, AND OTHER EXPENSIVE RELAXERS.
I think waiting 4 weeks to do the corrective relaxer is a good idea- but like another poster said... please use extra caution. You can try coating the hair you don't want touched up with your base to protect it from further processing accidently.
But, I wouldn't go over a lye relaxed section with a no-lye relaxer-- thats just me. Some people have damage from switching back and forth between lye and no lye, so please be careful with that
Sistaslick has a good point about using a no lye relaxer over hair that has already been processed with a lye based relaxer. I don't know for sure whether this is a problem, but it is best to be prepared. You have time to research. Is there a hairdresser you trust in your area? Or maybe contact a rep from the the companies (CON and Motions).

THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR ADVICE. I WILL WAIT UNTIL HER NEXT TOUCH-UP WHICH IS IN JANUARY 06 AND HAVE A PROFESSIONAL TO DO THE CORRECTION. THIS WILL BE 12 WEEK POST. RIGHT NOW A BEAUTICIAN THAT I TOOK HER TO FOR A CONSULT SUGGESTED THAT WE CLIP OFF THE DAMAGE ENDS AND SHE CAN WEAR A BOB HAIRSTYLE AND SUGGESTED THAT SHE USE MIZANI H2O.
