What makes it like this? lol. I mean what makes it sooo curly/kinky and all? Are scientists trying to figure this out (if they care at all ) It can't be our dark skin, because there are many people of Indian/Middle Eastern decent (who are dark like us or darker than us) who have straight, long hair. So really what is it? I WANT, NO I HAVE TO KNOW!!!

    Well , Im not gonna say i know what gene it is and
I do love my hair ,, sort of love hate lol but its me and
i adore it,, but Negro hair may be such because of
the extremely hot climates in Africa,, if u believe in
adaptation( this is what i read anyway) its some sort
of protection against teh raging sun whereas
Caucasian hair just lays there an offers now sort of
thermal protetion for the scalp as far as heat is
concerned....
Hair type: 3b some c?, fine strands, last relaxer sept 05, never again!!! current :ap length on sides,,nearly bsl in back, damn those old frazzled ends! I am hair OBSESSED

i tried to think alot about the gene thing , but it just failed me .. my father has the "good" hair and my mother is a lovely nappy .. all of us got the lovely napps :D ... i think it is special :D .. just remembering my mother's afro makes me ....
