QuoteReplyTopic: new trick for hair closures or "parts" Posted: November 09 2005 at 2:05pm
i was asking on the forum about the "french parts", or closures..and called extensions plus before ordering from another website.
Cheyne was awesome as usual, and sent two types, one was wavy, and the other was relaxed perm.
they look fabulous...i did learned a new trick from Cheyne..if the closure "part" looks too light for certain skin tones, dip it in a cup of coffee for about 10 - 15 minutes, just let it set in it...doesn't have to be cold or hot..i did this, and it looks natural, and just my skin tone!
this will fade over time, though coffee is a "stain", it will fade with washings...thus when it's time to tighten or whatever, dip it in the coffee.
i was wondering if i could use a permanent dye on the scalp pieces..this way, i wouldn't have to stain them later? I was thinking maybe the dye would last longer?
i used to stain my monotop wigs w/ tea and i never had to restain them.
And i washed them almost daily. I never used coffee before, but I would
think it works the same. Goodness knows once teeth are stained w/
coffee.. it doesn't just go away after a while.
