Anyone know the best straight balm out there, if there's one that don't require heat to work, and one w/sodium hydroxide? thanks

The best I have found is Kiehl's heat protective silk straightening cream.  It just came out a few months ago.  It's $14 for 5 fl. oz. and you only use a tiny bit (dime size).  You can buy it at www.kiehls.com, Nordstrom or Neiman Marcus.

Hope this helps!

I use Lee Stafford's Poker Straight Glistening Straightening Balm.  It's great stuff, smells lovely and it's glittery.  I think Lee Stafford's a London company though, so I don't know if you can get it in America.
