I'm going to get my extensions cut and layered in the morning. I put extensions all the way up to within an inch of my part in the middle. Should I take them out and let the girl see what she can doo with the little wispy fine stuff on top or just leave the top extensions in and see if she suggests taking them out first? I don't know that she does extensions, per say, but I had called a place I used to go and the girl I used to go to and she gave me to this new girl there who said she could cut extensions. I'm just not sure she's done any herself to know what the heck I did up top and it might be easier for her to work with if there wasn't extensions all the way up except a few strands here and there on top. Ya know? Or did I confuse everyone? I think I confused myself.

From the pics that you posted, I would recommend taking the top few rows out and having her blend the extension hair. You can really see the top row and if you are going to someone who is going to cut the hair to make it blend she is going to want some more of your nat. hair out so that it makes it easier to blend. If you are worried about fullness, maybe trying doubling up some of your rows that you have two wefts bonded instead of one.

I'm just worried she won't be able to blend my natural hair since it is so fine. It needs major volume up there and was the reason I took my last extensions out. You could see them and the guy who did it supposedly cut and styled it after and just said I couldn't really have extensions with that fine of hair. ugh $400 blown
I think I will take out the very top row. Can I do this without taking it all out and will I have major clumps of glue to try to get out in a couple of hours? My appointment is at 11 and I don't think Sally's opens until 9 a.m. here...have to check. My first few pix I put up I hadn't put any up top. Would that have been better for a stylist to try to fix?

I'm struggling to see how the stylist will be able to blend your very short hair in with the extension hair without it looking a bit like a mullet Plus if your hair is that fine, the top weft may always show through no matter what you do. Maybe it's worth considering a full weave?
I'm not sure if I read what glue you used, but if you take the top weft/s out you will prob have clumps of glue to get out, but you can try getting it out with conditioner or something oily (or maybe acetone if you're desperate), if you don't have time to get to the store.

That's why I was considering just leaving the extension hair in all the way up and having her style that. My thinking is maybe after it's styled you won't be able to see the extension hair so bad OR I may just cancel and go to the store and get the stuff to take them all out. My hair just may be too baby fine to do extensions even though I want them badly.
I can't afford a weave I don't think. I was wanting to do it myself.

Maybe if you cut the extensions shorter, like shoulder length or shorter (and then had it layered up a bit), it woudln't be such a difference in length? Also, if you sandwich some of your natural hair over the top weft, that may also help to hide it.

How far down do you think I should take out the extensions to? I was thinking right where that very first layer ends, about mid forehead. Maybe?
Oh, and I used the Proclaim glue on them so would anything around the house maybe work to get them out now instead of having to wait until the store opens? It's only a 10 minute drive from my house so I don't guess it's that big of a deal really.

Any kind of oil will work to get the proclaim glue out, Even lots of conditioner. Just becarefull if you are trying to save the rows underneath. I think that there is hope for you to wear extensions, just probably alot of trial and error attempts. I would definatly not go so high on your head, and try sandwiching the very top weft. Now, if you are using the black proclaim, then obviously it will not work, because the color of the glue will show through.
If all other attemps fail, try ordering some pro-tack tape and using that. If you want, I will send you a few inches so you can try it. Someone did that for me, and after I tried it I was hooked and ordered mine right away!! Just PM me with your address and I will pop it into the mail.

I may do that. I'm in the process of taking out the top and see what that looks like but the girl I went to basically said I have really fine hair and she's not sure she can do much with it and a weave would probably work best on me or the pinchbraiding type of thing and it would cost about $200 at the lady she went to to have it done once.
I may be taking it all out and just dying my hair some crazy colors or something. I'm not sure yet. I bought some remover on my way home that says to put it on with a q-tip and then work it in with a toothbrush and let it sit for 1 or 2 minutes and the weft is supposed to "slide out of the hair." We'll see.
