Hi again,

4 months ago as some of you may know I bleached my hair to get some of the black out of it.  This worked, but I tried to dye my hair brown again and it went black because my hair's very porous now.  To be fair it was totally my fault because I know I should have gone for a lighter brown.

Anyway, I'm back to square one and currently have black/red hair with bright red roots...looks pretty ridiculous!  I've just bought a Goldwell Color Remover because I can't get Colorfix or Colorzap over here...

I was just wondering, after I've done this, is there anything I can do to make sure my hair goes a nice lighter mid brown instead of a dark brown/black?  I've also brought a protein treatment (Fudge Dynamite) and intensive conditioning mask (Osmo Essence Deep Repair Mask) that are both salon products to look after my hair...is this ok?

If you dont mind a warm brown you can do a partial color correction. There should be instructions with your color stripper you got for a partial correction. Its basically a soap cap.i have done this a few times myself. It works great. But warm brown looks awful on me.So I always ended up dying it more after.

How long have you had this unintentional black hair?If not to long its possible it could fade.If this is the case give it a few more washes and see if it tones down any.Good luck and always strand test.

Well, after I bleached it it's been like this for about 4 months give or take.  It doesn't actually have any black dye on it since the bleaching, it's just because of the porousness of my hair after doing it.  It has washed out a lot, at the moment it is almost black/red/brown....a muddly mixture, with very bright roots.  If I strip the colour it'll probably go reddy/orange with very blonde roots.  That's fine as long as I can get mid brown over it.

Your hair's lovely btw
