Hey everyone,
I just wanted to know if anyone knew how lace front wigs work. Up close, can you see the lace or do you have to put a ton of make-up or putty over it? Is it an everyday thing or just real enough for stage and screen?

You are supposed to trim the front lace to the hairline so you can't see the lace.

I have worked with them for over 8 years.
If you use them for theater you keep the extra lace
Film you trim.
For someone to just wear you will trim it to the hairline and add ether a
lace tape or liquid glue (spirt gum). You can order stock units all over
the
web and they are ok but you can have a mold made of your head and
have it custom made to fit you exactly. I love making them and have a
wonderfull clientel full of lace clients.
If anyone is ever in NYC email me (isaac@cyberparlor.com) and i can
show you how it works.

I love them. and have tons in my studio to show off.

I wore a lace front wig over the holidays and I had a hard time getting it not to show and making sure there was a good amount of glue without the glue becoming bunching and obvious.  It just wasn't worth the hassle.  I went back to extensions and now I have a $500 wig that I will never use again.  The hair is beautiful though, it just never looked natural and I couldn't get my hair flat enough because my natural hair is relatively thick and goes to right above my bra strap. Good luck though, I hope it works for you!
