I've tried it in the past. I felt it worked. In fact, all those types of shampoos and conditioners worked great for me. I want to try it again; I keep forgetting to. Hopefully, now that you've mentioned it, I'll remember! As of late, NOTHING has been working for me. I'll bet it'll work for you though! I've seen your pictures of your hair and it sure does NOT look brassy or yellow to me. (Of course, picture can lie, but I just don't see it!)
My hairdresser mentioned a couple of things she liked -- you might want to look into them: Artec (there's one called "White Violet" -- prob. the one you'd want) and Igora Toning Mousse -- hadn't heard of it until stylist mentioned it and then someone here did also. And, of course, there's the Aveda Blue Malva (it's not blue; it's purple -- they have conditioner and shampo). Clairol will be the least expensive, of course.

I've tried both the Artec Shampoo & Conditioner AND the Igora Toning Mousse. They DO work. The Artec is more available locally though. You have to order the Igora online.
