QuoteReplyTopic: Where to get jojoba oil? Posted: January 11 2006 at 2:05pm
Can anyone recommend a place to get jojoba oil? The last time we got it, we purchsed an 8 oz bottle from Mountain Rose Herbs for $12.75, but we were wondering where others get it and what you pay for it.
I have Vitamin Shoppe's store brand of jojoba oil.
When I bought mine I got it through Amazon.com but there is now a Vitamin Shoppe store in my area.
So you can either get it online through Amazon.com or go directly to
Vitaminshoppe.com or if you have the store nearby you can go there.
The price is decent too. I paid about $6.50 for 4 oz back in 2004 which is cheap compared to the other ones I saw.
I couldn't find any in Wales! I only just got jojoba, a colleague of mine brought me some back when she went home to Spain over Christmas . I think it was 30 odd euros for 500ml.
I'd say go for the pure one. And don't bother going to Sally Beauty
Supply unless you want one with other ingredients. I don't think they
carry pure jojoba without other ingredients.
But I'm not an expert and the only way to figure out what is best is to try it. One person's best is another's worst.

I live in Australia, but I always get mine from the local health food shop. Just the pure cold-pressed stuff. The brand I get is made in Byron Bay and I'm very happy with it :) It is very expensive, but it takes me over a year to use it (on both face and hair) so it's actually VERY economical.
