Where I live we have a lot of lime in the water, and I have read some of you having luck with distilled water, to wash the hair in, to keep it tanglefree and healthy looking.

With total lime-free water, you can not get the soap to lather and wash it out, but I can buy a waterfilter that breaks the lime down. Its still in the water, but it do not attach itself to anything (am I making sense ). Would that be good?

I have thought about washing my hair in rainwater (we have a big barrel in the garden), or maybe buy a big bottlewater to rinse my hair in, when I have washed it.

What are your thoughts and comments on this subject?

I have installed a filter in my shower and like it.  It filters the chlorine that has been added to city water here in the states.  It is supposed to help with hard water spots (from lime) also.  I think that it has been beneficial for my skin and hair.

    As far as extensions, the jury is still out on whether the filter will benefit the extensions I am currently wearing (Lush).  I should be able to see whether there is any difference in another week or so.
