I don't know if anyone else likes to try a wig every now and then to see what they look like w/ diff hair but I found this web site and the prices are pretty good. I ordered a long 613/22 wig for 10 bucks.

Yeah, I have the day off today. I think I have finally reached the proverbial end of the internet sidewalk..lol. Mine should arrive end of next week. I like to wear a wig too on those extension-less weekends or when I want to feel mysterious. I'll let you know if it is crap or not. (really tho, 10 bucks. Its gotta be garbage!)

I'm a total wig addict. I now have TWO cut in exactly the same style and
color as my own hair with extensions. I love having a wig for those times
I don't have time to fix my hair and it just looks stupid. I recently bought
a second one just like the first so when I have one in "the shop" I still have
a back-up wig.

My latest discovery is a product called Couvre, mentioned by someone
else's post earlier today. I have dark hair that separates in a spot on my
crown, revealing very white scalp. This stuff apparently covers the bare
scalp places, doesn't irritate the skin and doesn't come off until you
shampoo. I'll let y'all know how it works after I've tried it.

I live for new beauty products that work!

Hey Moffpoff! Scalp sucks, doesn't it? I did a Google search and found
that it was being sold at the Amazon Marketplace. There were many
other places selling it as well. The reviews on the product were good. It
runs about $20.00 for a tube, but apparently lasts a long time. You put it
on while your hair and scalp are wet. People suggested using an eye
shadow brush to put it on and blend. The cool thing is it apparently stays
put until you shampoo again. The stuff won't even come off in the rain!

Couvre is a cream that is brushed or sponged onto the scalp while the
hair is damp. When the hair is dried, the coloring remains on the scalp
even while swimming until you shampoo your hair again. It comes in
several colors to match your hair. I purchased the product through
Amazon.com's Marketplace, but it was sent from a vendor at www.
thickerhair.com. I ordered it yesterday and it arrived this morning! Here
is the link to information about Couvre at thickerhair.com:

Is it anything like toppix? I have that spot too. I think it is mostly b/c my head is like totally flat right there. Seriously I can balance a glass of water w/ my head at 40 degree angle.

Toppix and Fullmore are powders with little hair-like fibers that you
sprinkle on the bare spot. It fills in the hair, but from what I have read in
the reviews, the stuff comes off on everything and feels and looks a little
weird.

I have that exact same flat spot, coupled with a cowlick swirl that causes
the hair on the left side in the back of the crown to spread out and lay
flat. It looks like a big white flat bald spot even though it really isn't bald
at all. I use volumizers, hair spray and back-combing in that area to
cover it. However, unless I really glue the hair into place it needs
retouching every few hour. Rain or wind have been disasterous for my
hair.

When I wake up in the morning that flat white spot looks especially
horrible. The first thing I do after getting out of bed is back-comb and
spray to cover it even though my guy thinks my baby-fine hair with scalp
showing is adorable. (Love is blind, I guess.) I applied the Couvre last
night before bed. I was pretty impressed with the difference. It really did
look like there was more hair there. I was even more amazed when I
woke up this morning -- no product on the pillow and no blazing white
bare spot in the back of my head!

I'm still struggling a bit with my top weft showing in this area even
though I placed it pretty low. I'm going to try some microshrinkies to fill
and blend in the hair on top of the weft and am planning to install the
weft even lower next time. The back of my head is a work in progress,
that's for sure! It does seem that the weft is less noticible to the eye with
the big white patch right above it gone.

Sounds like yet another product I must buy! Btw, got my wig yesterday and I was pretty impressed. The color is a little yellow but I saw the same wig at the bss for 30 bucks. One of my little coworkers was at the library though and saw me ordering it. He's like umm, how are you gonna fit all your hair under that? I didn't have the heart to tell him that my hair is 60% fake!
