I finally got my pro tac out, it really did not want to leave my head  I used conditioner on dry hair they did not move so I wet it and they still weren't going so I used shrinkies remover, after a lot of teasing they finally came out,I no longer have any worries about them slipping   Is there a better way, these had been in a month, I only wanted to change the colour!

I have only used the remover, and it has been on dry hair.  I have had no problem getting them out.  Well, that's not true, I had some horrible matting in a couple of spots in the top 2 rows, I used both the remover and conditioner, and just some patience.  You definatly need to get the strips completely saturated in either product and just rub the tapes until they get really gooy, then they should just slide right out.

I removed mine this weekend and thought I would try conditioner instead of the shrinkies remover...that was a mess...nothing budged...so then I tried the remover on top of that...nothing...then I got in the shower and FINALLY worked out some of the wefts.  I actually had to get out of the shower b/c I was in there so long it used up all the hot water!

So, what ultimately worked for me was olive oil....think I might actually use that instead of the shrinkies remover next time...

I just took mine out and used the skrinkies remover. They slid out like butter for me. Here are a few tips I noticed:

-Start with dry hair
-Really saturate the whole protac area, don't forget to flip it up and spray the underside too!
-I sprayed all of them and let it sit for a while and I think this was key. It takes a little time for the remover to break the glue down into the slippery stuff. Let em soak and get all slimey (like 10 minutes). They don't start giving if you start picking right after you spray the remover which is scary, but have faith they will get gooey and slippery.
-Start the removal at the edge of the weft not the center

I got out all the wefts with the protac still attached and then worked on cleaning the hair. I found it works to sort of scrape the weft under warm water with your fingernails to get the slimey goo residue out. Takes a bit of time, but by far the easiest removal I've ever had!

I haven't did the protac, but someone told me to use some sweet orange
essential oil on shrinkies. I think it really helped, you need to leave it on. I
think dr locks sell it on their site, I just buy it at a health food store.

This is scary for me to hear now. I hate tugging at my hair!!!
