Ok... here is the cheesy self-pic I snapped in the bathroom.  I'm hoping that even from this angle, you can see the difference.

I have bounding around my living room all morning.... I hope everyone gets to try extensions sometime in their life!

Your hair looks fantastic, akillian! Probably more like you than your own hair. And GREAT news about your stylist! Sounds like a real professional. He may be high priced, but he sure delivers!

BEAUTIFUL!!! Yeah, I agree with everything you said. When I get the
extensions, I just bounce around, with a smile on my face, it's like a drug,
then I try to get other people to try it....you don't know what you are
missing if you haven't had them!!

Gsmilie - Isn't Texas fun?  I grew up in Seattle (which I liked), but I am really enjoying Texas.

Thanks so much everyone! What a fantastic board! I've looked through so many profiles, and WOW - there is some seriously fantastic hair around here. Lots of good ideas for my next set...

Yeah, unfortunately my extenstionalist isn't cheap - but he's been doing extensions for 10 years, and using this method for 5+, had a great follow-up program (I go in 1x a month so he can check growth, etc) and he'll take them out for me too.  I went a bit on the precautionary side, and thus far I'm sure glad I did.  It, unfortunately sounds like a bit of hit&miss if you don't do your homework.

 A girlfriend of mine is pricing out extensions and she called to tell me she found someone less expensive that can make the extentions 'last 6-8 months'.  I about fell over and gave her this website to get some helpful advice before she went anywhere
