My hair is blonde and to me I thought it was kinda looking YELLOW so I went to Sallys and she recomended the shimmer lights shampoo so I bought the generic in the black and white bottle. I used it this morning and now I have purple spots and the ends of my hair is kinda grey and purple. It did tone it down but I think 5 minutes may have been to long. How do I get the purple out??

Yeah, just wash it several times with regular shampoo vs shampoo for color treated hair.

Shimmer Lights shampoo is typically for gray hair on older folks to help get that nasty yellow out of their hair. I'd never recommend that shampoo for color treated hair or a toner which is what it sounds like you used it for.
