What is a reconstructor? I have minimal/moderate breakage, and little shedding.  Should I reconstruct?

I use Nexxus Emergencee but it is really rich in protein and you must follow up with a lot of moisture.  Shedding could be caused by a lot of reasons but in my opinion is due to not enough moisture.  Anytime you see something wrong...side w/ moisture 1st before you decide to use protein.  Try a deep penetrating moisturizing conditioner and see what happens.  Typically I do a deep protein treatment the week after a relaxer to build my hair up but after that I just stick to moisturizing treatments.  HTH

yes u can try a reconstructor,,, i had some nagging
and depressing breakage from overprocessing plus
over heating and reconstructors can really help with
that when used correctly,, they should always be
followed up with a moisturizing con afterwards,, I
started with Nexxus Emergncee which can be but
really thickens and strenghens and now Im using
K-pak which is lighter becuz i think i had a protein
overload which causes MORE breakage! its
really a specific balance and its not hard to mess it
up so be careful with them.....
Hair type: 3b some c?, fine strands, last relaxer sept 05, never again!!! current :ap length on sides,,nearly bsl in back, damn those old frazzled ends! I am hair OBSESSED
