a product to be discontinued? I always hear of a product that everyone seems to like, but then later on you hear about it being discontinued. It can't be due to sales. Does anyone know what causes this? This worries me because it is hard to find a good hair regimen and as soon as you get it down pact one  of the items you use is no longer available.

I think it's because of sales or another product replaces it. or it can be due to ingriedients.

you can find discontinued products at big lots. Are you natural or relaxed?

I remember I used to LOOOOOOOOVVVVVVE 911's Emergency Leave In. They changed the formula (and the bottle) and I HATE it now! I have NO FREAKING IDEA why they changed it. It was so SPECTACULAR!

Do you guys remember when the 911 Emergency Leave In was in a clear bottle with purple writing? That's when it was good.

Don't bother buying it now (in the blue bottle). It SUCKS!

Hair type: who knows?
Length: 23 inches as of 3/10/06
MY HAIR IS OFFICIALLY BRA STRAP LENGTH!!
Goal: Waist Length, which is only 30 inches so
ADVISE ME ON HOW TO GET JUST 7 MORE INCHES OF GROWTH!

Ok thanks to all. I have been natural for a little over a year and a half. So far none of hte products I use have been discontinued, but I am afraid in the future they might.

Cool. I am natural as well- i like DDTA/DDWL- i get those at big lots cause they were discontinued. I also love Saloncare Shampoos and Conditioners found at Sally's bss. Curecare Hair and skin conditioner also at sally's. Multipurpose liquid castile soap(i use it as shampoo)- www.thechemistrystore.com and trader joe's pure castile soap(peppermint). All of these work great for me.

I think sales is a big factor at the end of the day.  Even for products with poor sales you will find a small number of die hard fans who swear it works for them and lament when the company stops producing it.

The one thing I have learned on these boards and other boards is that for every person who absolutely loves a product because it makes their hair soooo soft there is another who swears it made their hair like a brillo pad.

LOL R2D2 The brillo pad hair has happened to my with products that others liked that did ot work for me. You are right about the sales. I guess you only hear of the ones that like the product, I thought that since I heard some many people using it then the sales could not be bad. Carmeldiva I wish my local Big lots carried the DDTa I have been wanting to try it.

I've seen the DDTA/DDWL in Big Lots, but its for all hair types.  Will that work for me because my hair is coarse?
