i cant get hold of a colour remover in the uk,

the only way to go is to bleach it, and then put a dye on over that.

my hair is in quite good condition considering all that its been through, it appears to be strong and healthy.

what im afraid of though, is it snapping off after bleaching it.

woill this happen?

Don't do it!!! I would look high and low for a color remover.  Maybe someone on the board can sell you some or check Ebay.  If your hair is healthy  - keep it that way!! Bleach will dry your hair out and you will get breakage and splits.  Trust me I found out the hard way.  It happened almost 5 months ago and I am still depressed about the damage my hair has now.

Good luck!

Noelle

Hey...yes - Ebay.

Tis the only way I'm afraid, unless you can pay for things in dollars :(
You can get the Goldwell one off Ebay that I have used twice, very effective and gentle.  I haven't been able to get Colorix yet though...
