Hi.
Glad i found this forum, i need help.

I'm being torchered with bad, dry hair since over 2 years now. I used to treat my hair with a lot of heating, over-shampooing, and styling gels. Now my hair has become so stubborn, literally everything i've tried (Conditioning treatments in parlours, oil massages, expensive shampoo's and conditioners, immediate stop on blow-dry's and gels) NOTHING seems to work!

Now i'll try to provide the best description of my hair -

Its generally straight right right after i come from bath. When its wet, after shower, i can style according to my needs, which is very simple.
After about 30/60 mins, my hair becomes TOTALLY DRY. It becomes all mushy, you know, really messed up, all flying around, there's no hint of the style i made after bath, it takes its own curves and it settles to that, no matter how much i comb then it won't style, thus i call it stubborn hair.

If someone wants me to provide a picture of it in dry state then please do ask if this explanation is not enough or more is required :)

Please guys, PLEASE! I'm tired, i'm giving up, i've tried everything. Please suggest what i do, what shampoos with what ingedients, what conditioners, what treatments etc anything!

Appreciate any help. Thanks.

It sounds damaged... and you said "Conditioning treatments in parlours, oil massages, expensive shampoo's and conditioners, immediate stop on blow-dry's and gels) NOTHING seems to work!"

Maybe you should consider cutting it? You know, just to let it get healthy again.

Sure, lets see a pic

Yeah, I agree with Miss Misery. Sounds like the only thing that will work is cutting off the damage.

Good luck!

I would suggest the same, cutting off damaged hair is the only way to go. Once you do that, a lot of your natural texture, body and bounce will return to your hair. You can always condition, shampoo, hot oil, etc., but it will never bring back the original state of your natural hair.

Something similar happened to me.  Get a good long layered cut.  Buy a soft bonnet hair dryer to deep condition.  Get a good conditioner and put the bonnet on for about 10 minutes on high heat, then rinse.  I don't know where you live but try to find a person that knows how to blow dry hair really good (pref a latina they are really good at making super dry hair nice by blow drying it the RIGHT way(Pricans and Dominicans are great)!!!  It takes time to reconstruct your hair.  Look at your diet too. try to eat healthier and hydrate yourself.
