IMO I think it is. I used the Ion Color Brilliance Creme Permanent Hair Color in the Medium Golden Brown and Lt. Golden Brown shades on my mom's hair (she has grays and likes highlights persay) and I can say that it took very well. I colored, shampooed, deep conditioned, blowdried, curled and styled and her hair came out very soft and manageable. Not all hard and rough like some other permanent dyes do. HTH
I just bought some a couple days ago, but I haven't tried it. I searched all over the internet for reviews and couldn't find any. The clerk at Sally's said she had used it and it was good hair color, but I, too, would like to see more reviews before I use it. I got the level 6 red.
i looked it up and all i found was the info on the sally website - i kind of wonder if it's a sally beauty brand and that's why they push it.
i just did test strands of levels 8 and 9 natural blonde.
very true to the color swatch as far as tone. that's about all i can say. i also used the 20 developer - it didnt lift at all, but i don't think it's the color itself, i think it's me not using it right :-/

I have only used this color once and am very happy with the condition of my hair afterwards. My neighbor uses it and touches up her gray roots about every 3 weeks with no issues. I really like Ion color developer...it is very easy on the scalp. But then again, I had been using Wella Color Charm for about a year...
Ion Color Brilliance is only availabe at Sally Beauty Supply. Ion is Sally's own brand. The shampoos and conditioners are great. I have used the Ion Creme color in a 4G Medium Golden Brown. It has good grey coverage and leaves the soft . The scent of the developer masks the ordor of the color well. I will definitely keep using it.

Hmm, I bought some last week and did a strand test. My hair is a 30/33 (light and dark auburn) blend and I bought a med ash blonde shade w/ the 30 developer. No lift whatsoever. In fact the results were darker. Maybe I don't know how to use developer either lol.
