Moms, how in the world do you find time to take care of little ones and spend time on your hair?  I have a 20 month old and I'm lucky to go to the bathroom without her needing me for something!!!  What's your secret?

I only attend to my hair first thing in the morning and last thing at night (unless washing) as my hair does better with less manipulation so perhaps you might want to get up a bit earlier?

For washing you could set up a pack and play in the bathroom fill it with toys & books & snacks and off you go!  She just might be happy to be there with mum.

I have two children under the age of 2.  And what I do is in the morning at breakfast time I will feed the youngest and let the oldest feed himself and thank God he eats slow.  But I will feed the little one then give him his bottle and some sweet potatoe star puff snacks to munch on once he is done with his bottle.  But as soon as I am done feeding the little one I give him the snacks and run off to the bathroom and take my hair down.

Somedays I will just wait until I put them down for their nap to do my hair, or I style my hair the night before just before I go to bed, and every Friday I wash my hair during their nap time.  I put them to bed at 8pm every night so that gives me plenty of time to moisturize and style my hair for the next day if I choose to.

I hope that helps you out alittle.

Tffy2004:  Bless your heart!!!  If you can do it, so can I!!

I can definitely try the bedtime/naptime ideas with my daughter...I think if I airdry it will buy me more time...by the way, your hair is beautiful!!!  Your length is my goal... mind sharing your regimen?

Bedtime and Naptime saved my life ecspecially before I was diagnosed with PPD because then I didn't want to do anything except sleep.  Airdrying does save time but if you want to sit under a dry that good to during naptime that way if your daughter is having a hard time getting to sleep and she is crying you won't be able to hear her.  My kids usually sleep for 3 hours so that gives me plenty of time to dry my hair under the dryer if I need to.

Thank you for the compliment on my hair and if you want to see more pics just click here http://public.fotki.com/tffy2004/ I don't mind at all sharing my regimen here it is:(this can be found on the above site under My Journals.)

Washing and Conditioning/Co-Washes:
I wash my hair once a week alternating weekly between Creme of Nature one week and Pantene Clarifying Shampoo the next. I deep condition once a week with Mane N Tail Deep Moisturizing Conditioner. For one month after touch-ups I use Neutrogena Triple Moisture Deep Recovery Mask. After conditioning I use Infusium 23 Leave-In Moisture. I do Co-Washes with Suave Professionals Humectant and VO5 Moisture Milks Passion Fruit Smoothie. Sometimes I deep condition with heat if I don't plan on straightening my hair with my flat iron but whenever I do want to straighten my hair with the flat iron I will do deep conditioning with regular old body heat. I do Protein treatments once a month. As far as using heat goes I will use heat maybe 3-4 times a month. 99.999% of the time I Air-dry.

Moisturizers:
I am currently using Optimum Oil Therapy 3-in1 Creme Oil Moisturizer and I LOVE IT, it doesn't leave my hair oily at all. I will use Neutrogena Triple Moisture Silk Touch Leave In if I will be out in the sun. Every day I moisturize my ends with Hollywood Beauty Carrot Creme, I love this stuff to its not greasy or oily.

Relaxer:
The last relaxer I used was Motions Lye and I really like it but I want to try ORS no-lye which will be July 7.

Growth Enhancers:
I am currently using Mane and Tail Groom (MTG). And whenever I am waiting on my next order to come I use Wild Growth Oil. Since I am using these on the scalp I don't put any oil of any type on my scalp. I was using ORS Carrot Oil Creme before I started using MTG. I am also using Surge on the days I don't use MTG. I am using these products to grow my hair to tailbone length. Once I reach that goal I am going to cut it up to waist-length so I will have full ends.

Current Challenges: (6 Month Touch-Up Stretch)
I am going to start doing my touch-ups only two times a year to avoid over-processing. I find that Bantu Knots work wonders on straightening my roots with out having to use heat. I use to wouldn't go longer than 5 weeks without a touch up so going 6 months is going to be very challenging, wish me luck.

Aww thank you TiaJanice Thank you for making me your hair idol and I don't mind at all I am just glad that I can inspire someone on my journey.

You know what I am a PJ and I admit it, I need to do something about it soon cause my husband thinks I am going crazy.  I think by the end of the summer I will have my hair products narrowed down.  If not by then, just give me til the New Year and I should have it down by then, I hope.

You just reminded me to add a picture of the dryer I use Thanks girl

I just saw your fotki and your air is sooo healty and pretty, I am really feeling that color too.

Girl you need to turn on all your stuff in there so we can leave comments and messages in your guestbook.

I am living in Kearney about 150 miles West of Omaha between North Platte and Grand Island.  But I know of Omaha cause we have to take our baby boy there twice a year to see a kidney specialist at Childrens Hospital.  I really like it here in Kearney we are from Dallas, Tx and lived in SouthDakota for year before moving here.  I think our used to be daycare providers mom lives in Bellevue(I think I spelled it wrong)

Anyway I added you to my friends list so I can find you easily and will be checking on you to see your progress.
