currently, i have clip-ins which i love...but with summer coming up i thought i would like something more permanent, so i have some beautiful hair and the silicone coated microring system (i ordered from Glamor hair)  wish me luck, ive practiced in little places and i have the hang of putting them in. Im just not sure i can get that perfectly neat row in like i see on the tutorial sites....but thank you all, i would never be able to afford the 1500+prices ive seen for 2months of good hair !

if i can figure out how to make my digital cam pics smaller maybe i can post a pic---im pretty computer illiterate !

Welcome.  Thanks for sharing your photo.

thanks metal girl !, i have read a lot about that too (seriously...i have browsed through the past year's worth of posts here, my husband talks to me and all i hear is 'protac, shrinkies, liquid gold...')......but im pretty apprehensive about having to get the glue/tape out of my hair...i read the methods of using straight acetone for easy removal....i'll see how this one goes, im sure i will be addicted to hair hair hair and eventually i'll use other methods too !

another hobby to become addicted to, YAY!

thank you so much Naked Eye! ive read so many of your posts they've really been helpful.......i have been (my husband's observation: )  'obsessed' with planning these DIY extensions...i have my bathroom set up with mirrored walls and an extendable wall mirror just for the purpose of magnified viewing of the back of my head.

one quick question: i have read a lot about being able to reuse the hair with the microring method, i just bought the pretipped hair...but is it overly difficult to pretip hair myself?  if so, with which tipping product?  im a big DIY'er all over my house, i figured it can transcend to my hair too :)

Welcome to the board! Your clip ins look really natural and beautiful! As
for the microlinks, don't worry too much about perfect rows when you are
a first time DIY with that method. I know i didn't have perfect rows when I
started (nor would I now, it's hard to see the back of your head and do all
that in a mirror!) and it's still turned out wonderful.

Goodluck, it will be so much fun, after, you will feel so great. It's the best
feeling! Welcome to our world of hair addicts!!
