I wear my hair in a braid starting from the base of my neck alot, most of the time atleast. If I`m going out I put it in a bun or a ponytail. I think all the stress from pulling it back is causing alot of breakage around my hair line. I don`t really like wearing it loose since it tangles easily. I try to make sure I don`t feel any tension on my scalp and that it`s pulled back losely. It sucks because the hair that is breaking off is the really healthy hair. A few years ago Istarted taking alot of vitamins for my hair, they helped the texture feel smooth and shiny but I guess they didn`t really help strengthen it. I read silica helps, should I add this to my vitamin routine? Is there anything I can do to stop the breakage or are there any other nice hairstyles I can do to prevent tangles?
Hi I`m having the same problems right now. I think its the weather thats doing it. Try doing deep conditioning treatments or hot oil treatments and leave it on longer than the directions. Also try taking vitamin E, it really helps. Biotin, evening primrose oil and flax seed oil will add moisture and strength. I`ve also heard that PABA makes your hair stronger. Be sure to take a good amino acid complex too. I hope that this helps.
Oh sorry I also heard that Silica is really good too. You should definely add that to your regemin along with the biotin, eveining primrose, flax oil, PABA, and amino acids.
