I'm a 26 year old male and my hair has been thinning for last 2 years.
I have been using Nioxin Shampoo & Conditioner for the last 6 months and noticed my hair looks a lot healthier.
I also just started using proscar (generic propecia) and Rogaine 5% topical solution for the last 4 weeks, it's too soon to see any result's from these 2 FDA approved products.
My question is ...Have you guy's had success with any of these products I have mentioned?
and are there any New products on the market that you've had great success with promoting new hair growth?
If I don't have any success with this, Im affraid I will have to look into a hair transplant, it's my last option. So, if any of you have had this procedure done please share you experience, as it's very costly and no one seems to talk about it.
Also, let me know if there's a Hair vitamin you've been using for more then 6 months, and share what it has done for you.
Sorry for all the questions...
I'm new to this Forum and I'm surprised to see that there are really no current threads out here on this topic, which are all out-dated and several locks on some of the hairloss threads very interesting??? I hope it's not what it looks like!
So hopefully the adminatrator will allow this post, and we can all share our experieces with hairloss products and perhaps home remedies.
Thanks Guy's!!!

Good luck with your hair routines. It sounds like the products you've chosen so far are working well. There are also some product-free and indeed money-free ways of stimulating hair growth, though, so I wonder whether you have considered these too...
Your diet: oily fish, unsalted nuts, seeds, pulses, a wide range of fruit and vegetables of every colour (preferably raw or lightly steamed) and plenty of water are sure to help, as is the removal (or reduction) of caffeine, alcohol, refined sugars and other refined products like white bread or cake.
Secondly, rinsing your scalp in cold water after washing (and never washing your hair in anything warmer than lukewarm water) will stimulate bloodflow to the scalp, massaging the scalp is also widely believed to help this.
Good luck.

Wow! I didn't realize high amounts of caffeine could damage your hair.
I will defenitly try some of your home remedies, especially stimulating the scalp with luke warm water and a cold water rince, sounds good.
How about a hair Vitamin? Have you heard of any good ones? I'm off to the health food store later today and looking into taking a healthy step towards my hair with hopes of promoting new or strong hair growth.
I looked up rogaine and "hair replacement" and didn't find any locked
threads, I must not have searched for the right keyword. I wish
people would come back too and report what worked for them more
frequently so more people could be helped with the information. The
only thing I saw someone say worked for them was Millefolium (which is
just a spray on, paint your scalp to cover it up type product).
As for vitamins, things with biotin or silica in them are reported to
be good for hair (hair vitamins usually have those in them). A
multivitamin a day is also good, and it has biotin too. Just
don't overdo the vitamins. Too much of some things is bad for
you, and too much of something like vitamin A can cause hair
loss. Some of the longhairs report good growth rate results
taking MSM (I haven't personally tried that though).

Sorry, I don't know much about vitamins. Personally I believe that it is infinitely superior to obtain nutrients from diet rather than supplements, as it is much easier for vitamins, minerals etc. to enter the bloodstream from food it digests than from pills. So I would recommend that you concentrate on a healthy, balanced diet rather than wasting your cash on pills. Good luck!
