Hi, I have never tried coloring my hair but I would really like to try it. I am just nervous about it and wonder what I need to know before I attempt it. My friend tells me it is easy, but I guess I'm not a risktaker!  Anyway I was wondering if it is just as easy to make one's hair lighter as it is to make one's hair darker. What would be a good product to try? My hair is medium brown.

Its much more difficult to lighten the hair than to darken the hair if you are a beginner.  Lightening requires bleach, whereas darkening just requires hair dye.

well if you are going just 3 shades lighter you can do it at home

you can easily go to a light brown or dark blonde,

you can choose either the tone to be ashy, golden, or red

just remember to look at the dye box chart to see the before and after pictures

just compare which the before colour matches to your type and then see the results

its almost completely foolproof if you follow direction carefully.
