I have long hair and always have a few ideas up my sleeve. If you want it half up-half down, make a braided halo on top of your head and curl the bottom. Or you can put the curls inside the halo. Either way, I think it looks great. Another idea is a diagonal part with some twists. From that part go the opposite way by twisting sections of hair kinda making a right angle. Bring it back into a pony tail and curl. Add jewels or what not to it. Enjoy!

Check out the Prom pages here. There are tons of styles and the page is updated weekly. The Interactive Style Selector also here at the HairBoutique.com in the Gallery has over 2,000 photos with many updos and dressy styles.

Remember that the best way to make hair unique is to use unusual hair jewelry, accessories or jewelry. Drew Barrymore took a standard medium length style recently and jazzed it totally up by adding a large rhinestone jewel to her hair. She accomplished the same "unique" look years ago with the Academy Awards when she pinned a flower behind her ear and set off a craze.

There are only so many styles that you can do but the uniqueness comes in when you add the accessories which can instantly give you a look that no one else has.

TAKE CARE WITH YOUR HAIR!
