Ok so I have dark brown hair, and just regular highlighting never seems to work. I dont really have the money to go to a salon. I need information about dying the tips of your hair, and what colors would be good with dark brown? Any help is appreciated, thanks all!

You can bleach the ends or use some crazy color from manic panic like pink or red but dont dye too much from the tip cause if u decided you hate it after a while you can always trim it

golden brown looks naturall

dark blonde is not a bad choice

try to highlight using the dusting method

just apply a thin layer a dye/bleach on your hand and just wipe/dust to your hair to the back.

or make small knots like small pine trees all over your head and then just highlight the tips

Just to throw in another question....

Won't the dusting method be easy to make mistakes with?  Might you miss some tips or accidently go too far up?

I was actually wondering that too! I think Im just going to go to this school we have here, I know its students but hey they cant do any worse than me! LOL and it will be much cheaper....TY for all the replies though!
