Mac Minister Arrested, Charged With Fat Tone Murder!
Bay Area rapper, Mac Minister, was arrested on Thursday (March 2) in San Francisco for the murder of two men -- one being Kansas City's Fat Tone.
The FBI, with the help of the San Francisco Police, arrested Mac (real name Andre Dow), in an apartment in San Francisco's South of Market district at around 7:30 p.m.
The 35-year-old rapper was recently profiled on Fox's "America's Most Wanted" in February, which according to reports, helped in his capture. Before that, Mac escaped from authorities on several occasions, which prompted the Fox show to run his profile (see "Police Seek Rapper Mac Minister In Fat Tone Murder").
Mac and Jason Mathis was arrested on two counts of murder and two counts conspiracy to commit murder, stemming from the May 2005 slaying of Anthony "Fat Tone" Watkins and Jermaine "Cowboy" Akins (see "Kansas City Rapper Fat Tone Murdered In Las Vegas").
The rapper is also a suspect in the November slaying of Lee Danae Laursen, a 21-year-old Fairfield woman, according to the San Francisco Chronicle.
The SF Chronicle also reports that in Mathis' arrest warrant, he admitted to a friend that he had shot Watkins and Akins to avenge the November 2004 shooting death of Vallejo rapper Andre "Mac Dre" Hicks in Kansas City (see "Bay Area Rapper Mac Dre Gunned Down In Kansas City ").
