Has anyone ever heard of someone having a reaction to synth hair?

I have a client who I just did synth dreads on, who's thinking of taking them out! It hasn't even been a week!

I think it's the normal itch & irritation. The first time made me crazy for a week & half.

However thought I'd see if you guys hadf any input.

Hi Mojo -

There's the potential for allergic reactions to everything. I personally think before anything goes onto anyone's head, they should be exposed to the product for 24 hours. Bonding strip adhesives should be cut small and worn on the inner arm; shrinkies, rings, linkies, should be looped through a string bracelet-style and worn; a snippet of hair (human or synth) should be taped hair-side down onto the skin. Perhaps it's not ideal or convenient to do something like that all the time but it's the safe way.

In the meantime, have you ever tried Knotty Boy Peppermint Cooling Moisture Spray for dread clients with the itchies? http://www.knottyboy.com/shop/maintenance_products/peppermin t_cooling_spray Mmmmmm peppermint and hempseed :)

How was the PH applied?  Maybe an adhesive gave her a reaction, or the hair wa too heavy for her scalp causing an unusual amount of itchiness/sores.
